References & Client Feedback
1. To give some context I am a Crisis Coordinator for a mental health organisation. I have worked in and ran residential care homes and home support projects, as well as a history of intensive dementia unit care. I've known Andy for around eighteen years now. I've worked with him on various online longform and shortform projects as well as at conventions. He is a methodical and very considerate man who paused his own life for many years to care for his elderly grandparents through to end of life care. He is more than reliable and exceedingly trustworthy. He has always been a solid support to those around him, and is exceedingly patient with people. Andy is not one to leave a job half finished and will bring work to a high standard of completion. I would not hesitate to recommend him for the position, knowing he will do an amazing job with the clients.
2. I have known Andrew for around 3 years providing financial advice to Andrew and his late grandfather in their own home. I would consider the relationship professional but on very friendly terms. I observed Andrew look after his grandfather for 3 years when I visited and he always appeared to treat his grandfather well with compassion and patience, he never seemed to get frustrated with his grandfather. Andrew has been reliable in my dealings with him, and he has always been available for appointments and provided me with any documentation required. He also helped me deal with his grandfather where he was an attorney for health and finance. I believe Andrew used to help care for his grandmother before she died around 4 years ago and more recently his grandfather. My ex-colleague who retired 3 years ago had dealings with Andrew and the family for over 5 years years and never had anything negative to say before transferring the family to myself. Therefore, I feel Andrew would be suitable to be an independent carer.
