Independent carer in Allendale

1. I take great pleasure in recommending Carol as a self employed carer. Carol has been employed by a local care company and in that capacity provided care for my mother in her own home during the past approximately 2 years. My mother has communication problems but Carol was able to build and develop a positive relationship with her. She is always reliable and goes over and beyond to make sure the needs of her clients are fulfilled. Carol is professional but approachable. Her communication skills are excellent and always contacted me regarding any concerns she had about my mother. Carol is well known and highly respected in our community, she is kind and thoughtful, always putting the needs of others first. She is also confident in her role and has the ability to make decisions and talk to other professionals, for example GP’s and district nurses as and when necessary.

2. I have known Carol for over 20 years as a close neighbour. I have, during that time been repeatedly struck by her hard work, both helping to manage a hill farm with her husband and working in different roles in the local village. She is always friendly, helpful and very positive and I have never doubted she would come to my aid in a crisis. Carol has managed to combine not only hard physical work on the farm with paid caring roles for adults in need, but has also provided regular care for her grandchildren. She has always done this with a smile and lightness of spirit when she must have been exhausted.

I can’t think of anyone better to provide additional independent care to adults in the community.
