About Carer

After years of volunteering and caring for family members, I worked full-time as a carer and support worker for clients with complex needs, mental health issues and behavioural problems. I’ve had the pleasure of working in schools, forensic care homes, supported living, and with clients in their own homes – supporting people from primary school age to 70 plus in schools, residential and hospital settings.

My main interest is helping my clients through their difficulties and supporting them to retain and improve their wellbeing and independence. I particularly enjoy helping clients maintain independence, gain confidence, and be at the centre of their community by supporting them to make better choices and improve their physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.

I have experience with support and lead roles, and I decided to become self-employed so I could provide a better service focused entirely on what each individual client needs.

References & Client Feedback

1. Excellent verbal reference from a former employer in the care sector. She has known David for about 3 years and he worked for her for about 1yr. She wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. He is really nice, he got on well with all the clients and would go above and beyond to support them. Including taking them out to concerts out of his working hours. He is trustworthy and able to think for himself and will be excellent at working independently.

2. Dave was employed with us as a Full time Cleaning Janitor, I was his line manager. Dave's responsibility included carrying out daily cleaning tasks to a shopping Centre, working to a cleaning schedule which includes periodic works, following all health and safety guidance and customer service to both shoppers and tenants on a daily basis. The role involves working as part if a team and independently to ensure the center is kept maintained.Dave would also be involved in ordering of stock and filing reports.

I have always found him to be sincere trustworthy, reliable, he works collaboratively, and not afraid to bring new ideas to ensure we bring an excellent service. I don't have any hesitation in recommending Dave to you in the role as a self-employed Carer with yourselves given his past experience in the Care industry.
