I like to make people smile, laugh, and feel like they’re important and heard. I’m very caring and I love listening – my parents have always said I should have been a nurse!
I’m currently looking after my own parents – my Dad has Leukaemia and my Mam has heart failure and AF. I also have close family and friends living with cancer and other serious conditions, so I understand what families go through.
I worked for many years as a GP Referral Coordinator, looking after hundreds of patients requiring care and rehabilitation. I have qualifications and experience in cardiac rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, and supporting people with auto-immune disorders and mental health conditions including autism, ADHD, bipolar, anxiety and depression.
I’m a gentle, fun person with a giant heart. I still keep in touch with many of the patients I looked after over the years – it was like having lots of Grandmas and Grandads. I loved that, and they did too.
