I’m a mum of one teenager and a horse! I’ve discovered over the years that I love helping people. I always go above and beyond and enjoy finding solutions to make life that little bit easier.

I worked for an agency for a while but I decided to go self-employed so I could provide the best care possible. Being self-employed means I’m in control and can make sure any issues are dealt with quickly and directly.

I’m proactive, efficient, and think outside the box to find practical solutions. I have high standards and a caring nature, and people tell me I’m reliable and empathetic.

I can provide companionship, medication administration, light housework, accompany clients to appointments, shopping… there’s not much I can’t deliver! What matters most to me is making a real difference to people’s lives.

1. I have known Lal for approximately 4 years. She grooms my dog and also housesits for me. Lal has stayed in my home, looking after my dogs while I’ve been away. Lal is trustworthy, and I am completely at ease with her in my home. You’ve used the phrase ‘independent carer’ and I think that is where she will come into her own. Lal has high standards, and having control over the care being delivered will be more rewarding for her. She has a sense of responsibility and, importantly, a kind heart. She has the emotional intelligence to be compassionate, but I think she will also maintain professional boundaries. I have experience of inspecting Domiciliary Care Services, so I have a good understanding of what makes a good carer. I think Lal has the skills and personality to make an excellent carer. I have no concerns about her taking on this position

2. I have known Lal for 6 or 7 yrs, Lal worked for me both as a dog groomer and in the office in a local charity working with adults with learning difficulties. Lal was always very helpful. She is a reliable and conscientious person and will be perfectly suited to self-employed work and particularly to care work.
