I’m a very bubbly, caring, glass-half-full kind of person who likes to bring this personality into the life of my clients. I have particular experience caring for clients with cancer/end of life, Parkinson’s disease, MND, dementia and mental health issues.
I love to engage with clients, to really get to know them as individuals, to hear their life experiences, and to help them forget their illness just for a little while. I like to provide companionship care and support in whatever way I can help. This can vary greatly – sometimes it’s gardening, cleaning, cooking (I was a cake decorator and baker for many years), lifts to hospital appointments, personal care, shopping, or medication administration. I particularly like to take clients on day trips as I find this helps with their general wellbeing. We’ve been known to go to the seaside for fish and chips, church Christmas plays, cafes for lunch, or a movie at the cinema.
