I have a caring personality with a good sense of humour. I have 28 years of experience in care work, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, elderly clients, and dementia care. I worked one-on-one with a client with dementia in her own home for two years, which taught me how important continuity of care is.
I have plenty of experience supporting people with all aspects of care needs including personal care, medication administration, moving and handling, cooking meals and household tasks. I have a diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 and keep my training up to date.
My in-laws were supported by Sparrow carers and after seeing the way they worked, I could really see myself working as a self-employed carer – being able to build proper relationships with clients and provide the kind of care I’d want for my own family.
