About Carer

I’m an enthusiastic, friendly person who loves to chat and spend time with other people. I have three grown-up boys (the youngest now 18), a lurcher, and many interests including a Masters in Medieval History and Classics. I love nature, walking, wild swimming in the local rivers, baking, cooking for friends, and I sing in an acapella group.

I’ve been a qualified nurse since 1990 and have worked in a variety of nursing settings. At present I work as a Community Staff Nurse in the local area and also have diplomas in Counselling and Holistic Massage.

I’m happy to provide any aspect of personal care or support, and my aim is that my care can support people to live their best lives, despite being affected by ill health or older age. I’m very happy to do sleepovers and blocks of respite care to suit each client. At present I enjoy supporting four local clients.

References & Client Feedback

1. I have known Sara for 12 months, following me accepting a job with the Haltwhistle district nursing team as the deputy team lead. I am Sara's direct line manager.

I can confirm Sara's nursing expertise is of a high level and she is very caring and proactive individual. I do believe she will suit the individual carers role very well and your clients will be looked after in the best possible way. She is punctual and reliable.

2. I worked with sara for approximately 6 years. I was her district nurse team lead (direct line manager) and then community matron (clinical lead). Sara is very honest and reliable. She goes over and above for her patients and gives excellent care. I would recommend her in the highest regard.
